Goalkeeper Kepa will miss Chelsea’s Champions League game against Dinamo Zagreb.
Manager Graham Potter described it as a “minor issue” that should heal in a matter of days.
Mateo Kovacic, who has been away from training due to a calf injury, will be evaluated late in the season.
Potter stated that Kalidou Koulibaly, the Blues’ center-back, will be in the matchday squad.
Despite the fact that Chelsea have already won Group E, Potter claims he would have a “tough” team against Dinamo Zagreb, who are in last place with four points.
“I think we have to be competitive while also being respectful of the competition,” Potter added.
“I don’t think it’s appropriate to use young players for the sake of utilising young players.
“There are still teams looking for points for their own qualification, so we have to pick a squad we believe can win the game.”
If Zagreb beats Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and Salzburg loses to AC Milan, they might still finish in the Europa League.
